Authenticity guarantee

Every original artwork sold on this site is a genuine work by the artist, Shatabdi Mandal.

We guarantee the authenticity of each original artwork for one year from the date of sale. Authenticity means that the artwork matches the description on the website, in particular the name of the artist, the title (if any), the date, the dimensions and the medium.

In the unlikely event that, within one year of the sale, the buyer proves to the reasonable satisfaction of shatabdimandal.com that the artwork is not authentic, and in our opinion this would have significantly affected the price the buyer was willing to pay, we may cancel the sale. Once the buyer returns the artwork to us, the price paid will be refunded.

Each claim is handled individually. For an authenticity claim, the buyer must provide examinable proof from an established and recognised authority that clearly shows the artwork is not authentic. Our decision on such claims is final.

Conditions

1. The claim must be made by the original buyer. The guarantee cannot be passed on to later owners or to anyone else with an interest in the artwork.
2. The artwork must be returned in the same condition as when it was delivered.
3. The artwork must have been bought directly through shatabdimandal.com.
